Brindisi is in the Italian region of Apulia, Brindisi province, with about 92,000 inhabitants. Brindisi is a modern port on the Adriatic Sea, it used to be a Roman naval station, an embarkation point for the Crusaders main naval base and a major Italian port in the First World War.
