BEST TIME TO VISIT
The weather in San Jose Costa depends on the winds and seasons. Due to its high elevation it is usually 70 to 80°F (21 to 27°C) though it can get cool at night. The rainy season goes from mid April to December. The dry season is probably better to visit, starting from December until April. If you are planning to see the turtles, the best time is from July to September and from August to November for the hatching.

Juan Santamaría International Airport is 17km from the city centre. To get there you can take a bus or a taxi.
TRAVELLING AROUND
To get around San José you can travel by bus or rent a car (a 4WD is the best option). Taxis are also easy to find and quite cheap.
