The Bagdogra Airport is almost 100kms away from Darjeeling and has direct flight connections with Delhi, Calcutta and Guwahati. You can take a taxi directly to Darjeeling or only to Siliguri, from where there are a number of transport facilities available.
The closest Railway Station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) about 88 kms away from Darjeeling. It has direct railway connections with Calcutta, Delhi, Guwahati, Varanasi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and other major cities of India. Once in NJP you can take the famous Toy Train to Darjeeling. Another option is to take a taxi directly from NJP or through Siliguri, and then take a bus from there.
