The coastal city of Mombasa is an island with wonderful white sandy beaches and coral reefs.

By train

Mombasa has a railway station and Kenya Railways runs overnight passenger trains from Mombasa to Nairobi.

 

By bus

There are several buses between Nairobi and Mombasa.

 

TRAVELLING AROUND

Mombasa old town and the area surrounding the Fort Jesus are easily explored on foot.

The matatus and taxis are the best way to get around.
